Matthew Tagg
Founder
Matthew founded Web Africa in 1997 while in his matric year, enabling him to support
himself through his studies at UCT and afford him the ability to learn the basics
of business and customer relationship management.
Under his leadership the company has enjoyed significant growth and pioneered innovative
technologies within the South African market.
In 2007, while MD of Web Africa, Matthew co-founded Teraco, the first provider of
vendor neutral Data Centre colocation in South Africa. He was also nominated as
a National Business Awards 2009 Entrepreneur of the Year and is a regular speaker
at industry events.
On 1 October 2011, Matthew handed over the CEO position to Tim Wyatt-Gunning, but
retains his full interest in Web Africa through his shareholding and seat on the
Board.

Tim Wyatt-Gunning
Chief Executive Officer
Tim graduated from Cambridge University and worked as an investment banker in London
for 4 years, before getting involved in the European telecommunications industry
in 1996. In 1998, he moved to South Africa to start Storm Telecom with Tim Parsonson.
Tim co-ran Storm, driving it to revenues of over R250m, with over 6 000 business
customers across the country, until the company was purchased by Vox Telecom in
January 2008.
Bored of 'time out' from the industry, Tim joined Web Africa as the Chief Sales
and Marketing Officer in August 2011. He assumed the position of CEO in October
2011.

Rupert Bryant
Chief Operating Officer
Rupert joined Web Africa in 2003 with Matthew and assisted in building the company
up to where it is today. His ambition and results-orientated level headedness have
been invaluable assets and key drivers in the company's success.
Prior to Web Africa, Rupert ran his own web solutions business specialising in web
development and web hosting and has accumulated 12 years of experience in the IT
industry.
In his personal life, Rupert enjoys guitar, reading and feeding his appetite for
learning. As he says, "Each day, I try to go to bed a little wiser than I was when
I woke up".
-
Tim Parsonson
Non-Executive Director
Tim is the co-founder and Group CEO of Teraco, and also co-founded the Cape Town
based telecom services provider Storm in 1998, which was acquired by Vox Telecom
in 2008.
He obtained a BA Honours Degree in Mathematics from Cambridge University in 1990
and has over 10 years of experience in the communications industry.
Tim's light-hearted nature and wit add to his demeanor, and his wealth of industry
experience and investor relations make for a fine addition to the Web Africa board.
