Nobody likes to wait for something they want, especially when they want to be connected! Behind the scenes at Web Africa our Activations Team has been hard at work cutting down the time between application and activation of the services we provide. Over the past few months we’ve seen some very positive results across all areas and would like to share our results. [...]
Overall we have seen a 39% decrease in our total activation time average across all product segments since October 2010… but we are not stopping there!
Our Development Team is busy with a number of projects that are going to significantly cut down our activation times to a fraction of what they currently are, driving automation to the ultimate goal of instant activation across all products and services!
Below is an overview of how each of our segments have performed*

* As you can see, the annual December line freezes at Telkom significantly impact our turnaround times around the festive season.
The biggest hurdles we have at the moment are our 3rd party suppliers such as Uniform, Billion and Telkom whose turnaround times vary and are susceptible to freeze periods, strikes and stock shortages – all of which are being addressed by our Activations Team.
We are delighted that our customers are getting online faster and experiencing the difference that comes with being a Web Africa customer and we look forward to the day we can say “instant activation for ALL services” on our website!
