After the success of the PlayStation 4, we can only imagine how the PS5 will blow us away. Last week was an exciting week for fans as Sony released a first look at the latest upgrade of the gaming console.

The PlayStation 5 will have two versions available – the standard edition and the digital edition. The standard edition will come with a BluRay disc drive supporting PS5 games. The digital edition is the first of its kind. It won’t have a disc drive and only support online downloaded games.

It’s sure to produce amazing player experience with 10.28 teraflops of graphics power through an AMD RDNA2 Navi GPU with 36 compute units at 2.23GHz. Each console will have 16GB of GDDR6-RAM with an 825GB SSD to speed up the loading times of each game.

Sony also dropped some game names to tease us with, including; Spider-Man: Mile’s Morals, Horizon Forbidden West, Demon Soul’s (remake) and the one everyone is gushing about – ‘Stray’.

Stray lets you play the role of a stray cat, walking the streets trying to solve a mystery. To top it all off – he has a cute tiny backpack!

The game publishers, Annapurna Interactive, released a statement describing the game, “Stray is a third-person cat adventure game set amidst the detailed neon-lit alleys of a decaying cybercity and the murky environments of its seedy underbelly. Players will play as a stray cat, roaming surroundings high and low, defend against unforeseen threats and solve the mysteries of this unwelcoming place inhabited by nothing but unassuming droids and dangerous creatures.”

Dang… that sounds good!

We are all pretty excited about the release of the PlayStation 5. The launch date is yet to be revealed but until then, here are some funny memes about the console design to keep you entertained:
