What line speed (Mbps) options do I have?

1Mbps: Suitable for small teams that don't need data-intensive services, 1Mbps is the answer for general internet browsing, online banking, emailing and the occasional download.

2Mbps: Best for small to medium-sized teams that are active online but not overly dependent on fast speeds. It's the right speed for general internet use for both you and your business.

4Mbps: Now this is fast internet! 4Mbps is for teams that need quick speeds and consume lots of data-heavy online media in addition to normal usage.

10Mbps: Delivering an exceptionally fast internet experience, 10Mbps is perfect for viewing online videos in High Definition and blistering fast downloads plus excellent voice/video quality.

20Mbps: The second fastest business ADSL connection available in South Africa, at full speed 20Mbps can download a 1GB file in just 8 minutes.

40Mbps: The fastest business ADSL internet connection available in South Africa. If speed is important to your business then 40Mbps ADSL is what you need. At full speed it will download a 1GB file in 4 minutes.

With Webafrica you only need four things:
  1. A monthly-billed Telkom telephone line.
  2. An ADSL Line
  3. A router which you can buy from us
  4. Your ADSL data through us.

If you choose to take your Business Uncapped ADSL line through us our team of experts will also deal with Telkom directly to get it set up and transferred over, and we'll deal with any problems or faults on your behalf!

If speed and uptime are critical to your business and you need that extra edge, we recommend our Business ADSL packages. Featuring Titanium Quality bandwidth and backed by priority support, these packages ensure the fastest service possible.

Upgrade, downgrade or cancel icon image.

Upgrade, downgrade or cancel?

You can upgrade or downgrade your ADSL broadband account at any time simply by logging onto our easy-to-use Customer Zone and choosing your new package. Upgrades are instant; downgrades are activated at month end if initiated before the 20th of that month. There are also no contracts so if you want to cancel your service, you just give us a calendar months' notice - it's as simple as that.

Webafrica doesn't do contracts so if you want to cancel our service, just give us a calendar month's notice - it's as simple as that! And although we can't speak for the other guys, we have no hidden setup or cancellation fees or any sundry costs.

Yes it does. While the internet speed we provide you with remains the same, the more people you have using your internet, the more your bandwidth is shared between them. And based on their usage, speed will indeed be affected. So for larger teams we recommend our faster ADSL line options (10Mbps, 20Mbps & 40Mbps).

It depends on your business needs. A static web address is one that is manually assigned to your computer. Static IP addresses enable you to connect to your PC from anywhere in the world. You can also host your own website, mail server, FTP server and gaming server, as well as minimise downtime by using Static IPs.
