Oh no! Loadshedding is here to stay. Eskom has announced that loadshedding will be a permanent fixture for the next two years.
Due to the energy-supply issues that they have been facing for the past couple of years, it will take another 24 months to get the electricity provider back on its feet. This time will be used to perform the needed maintenance. Loadshedding will thus be between stage 2 and stage 3 in this period according to Eskom board chairperson, Mpho Makwana.
