So, you can’t get Fibre? Fixed LTE not in your area yet? That’s unfortunate, but don’t move house just yet. Old School ADSL can still be cool.
Is it as fast as Fibre and Fixed LTE? No. But ADSL has been around the block and it still connects more South Africans than any other access type. Our Old School ADSL is all that and a bag of chips.

Capped: Capped ADSL lets you choose a set number of GB data per month for a set rate.
If you run out of GB you have the option to top up or upgrade your account. Top Up data costs more per GB than standard in-package data.
Uncapped: Because we all have different internet needs, we offer three different Uncapped package categories. They are:
The first two categories each come with their own set of FUP thresholds, while our Uncapped Pro packages come with no FUP thresholds at all.Find out More
40 GB: This is a good option for a minimal, single internet user to send and receive emails, browse online and occasionally access social media.
100 GB / 200 GB: These are our most popular capped packages. Perfect for several users to send and receive emails, browse the web and social media, and occasionally share or download bigger files like photos or music, or stream the odd movie.
300 GB / 400 GB: These are great options for more significant internet usage, including media streaming, gaming, VoIP calls and frequent downloads. If you have more than two people making use of the service, go for the bigger option.
600 GB / 1000 GB: These are the best options for you if you have multiple internet users making use of the full stack of online applications. If you have more than three high-level users, go with the bigger package.
1 Mbps – 2 Mbps This is a good option for one minimal internet user to send and receive emails, browse online and occasionally access social media or YouTube.
4 Mbps A good option for 2 to 3 simultaneous users for standard internet usage, including streaming, gaming, social media and online calls as well as quick downloads. No wonder it’s our most popular speed!
10 Mbps You’ll enjoy a speedy internet experience for 2 to 3 avid users, for media-rich data, viewing online videos in HD and decent download speeds. Ideal for a family who is very active online.
20 Mbps The second fastest DSL internet connection available in South Africa, at full speed 20 Mbps can download a 1 GB file in just 8 minutes.
40 Mbps The fastest DSL internet connection available in South Africa. For those who need effing fast internet, but can’t get Fibre, 40 Mbps VDSL is for you.

All our capped customers automatically get at least 1000 free Download Plus gigs (our bigger packages get 2000 Download Plus gigs) These free gigs are deducted between 12am – 6am every day of the week. Data usage between these hours will only come off your anytime gigs if you run out of Download Plus.
We're open every day, all year round. Our top-notch technical support agents are here to help you troubleshoot and resolve any issues – call, live-chat, email or leave them a message.
If you still need to have your voice line installed (a prerequisite for ADSL) by Telkom, followed by the installation of an ADSL line via us, it can take a full 8 weeks to come to get up and running. If you already have a Telkom voice line installed, it can take up to 4 weeks to get your ADSL line active.
Your speed will be affected by how far you are from the Telkom exchange (box on a pavement in your suburb) and also the congestion on the exchange. If the copper lines in your area are eroded you may experience an intermittent connection and/or slow speeds.
Requires a Telkom voice line, an ADSL line and a router.
Support for technical issues is reliant on Telkom. We deal with them for you, but they are still the “man on the ground” and we are ultimately at their mercy.
With Webafrica you only need four things:

All our capped customers automatically get at least 1000 free Download Plus gigs.

You can upgrade or downgrade your ADSL broadband account at any time simply by logging onto our easy-to-use Customer Zone and choosing your new package. Upgrades are instant; downgrades are activated at month end if initiated before the 20th of that month.
Webafrica doesn’t do contracts, so if you want to cancel our service, just give us a calendar month’s notice – it’s as simple as that! And although we can’t speak for the other guys, we have no hidden setup or cancellation fees or any sundry costs.
Mbps stands for Megabits per second – the speed that data travels on the internet. In practical terms, ‘speed’ simply means how fast you can browse and download internet content. The more speed you have, the faster your files will download. For example, downloading 1 GB will take just over two hours on a 1 Mbps connection but only 4 minutes on a 40 Mbps connection.
Yes, you can visit your Customer Zone to top-up easily.
Top-up Gigs will never expire. They’ll roll over every month until you’ve finished them.
Yes it does. While the internet speed we provide you with remains the same, the more people you have using your internet, the more your bandwidth is shared between them. Based on their usage, speed will indeed be affected. So for larger teams/households we recommend our faster ADSL line options (10 Mbps, 20 Mbps & 40 Mbps).
