Fibre Is Coming to You Soon
Pre-order your fibre package today and jump ahead of the queue.
What is a "Fibre Pre-Order"?
Our Fibre providers have indicated that your area will be active soon. We will keep you up to date on a regular basis regarding the status of your fibre order.
Please note you will not be billed until your area is active.
While we continually update our map to ensure reliability, please note that on occasion the data supplied by the underlying Fibre infrastructure provider is not always 100% accurate.
How Much Does Fibre Cost?
We have partnered with multiple providers to make sure we can offer Fibre to more areas around the country.
20 - 50 Gigs: Perfect for several users to send and receive emails, browse news and social media, and view or upload photos of family and friends.
50 - 200 Gigs: Ideal for significant internet usage, including media streaming, gaming, VoIP calls (like Skype) and frequent downloads.
200 - 1000 Gigs: If you have lots of people using the internet for everything including downloads and live streaming, 200GB or more will ensure you won’t run out of data.
Do I need a different router/modem?
Unless stipulated, most ADSL/VDSL routers won't work with your new Fibre connection. All but one of our Fibre packages – the 4 Mbps Entry-level Uncapped package on Vuma – come with a free router. Please note that if you cancel your Fibre service within 6 months of receiving the free router, we will charge you for the full price of the router.
Which Fibre Speed Should I Choose?
2 Mbps - 8 Mbps: The same speeds as you could get with ADSL but 100% more reliable. These speeds are perfect for up to 2 – 3 simultaneous users, and ideal for online videos, gaming, social media and online calls (such as Skype) as well as quick downloads.
10 Mbps - 40 Mbps: You 'll enjoy a blisteringly quick internet experience with these speeds. This is the perfect option for media-rich data, streaming online videos in high definition and super-fast downloads. Ideal for an online-active family.
50 Mbps - 100 Mbps: If speed is important to your family or business, then why would you go any slower? Let everyone in your household or business experience the same speeds at the same time.

Say Goodbye to your Telkom Landline
With Fibre the need for a voiceline is a thing of the past. Enjoy cheaper call rates using VoIP services to connect with family and friends across the world.
Updated Technology Equals Stability
We've entered a new world of Fibre possibilities, which means the inconsistent speeds of ADSL is a thing of the past.
Improve Efficiency at Work
Sending and receiving files shouldn't be a chore. It isn't with Fibre. You can move photos, documents, graphics and larger files quicker than ever before.
ADSL is reliant on existing copper wire infrastructure which is often unreliable and offers speeds (to the wider public) of around 4 Mbps – hardly anything to write home about. Fibre, on the other hand, uses flexible glass fibres to transmit data at incredible speeds, allowing users to achieve speeds of up to 1000 Mbps!
Q. Do I need a voice line/number from Telkom?
Heck no! Fibre is completely independent of a bundled voice line.
Q. Do I need a different router/modem?
Unless stipulated, most ADSL/VDSL routers won't work with your new Fibre connection. All but one of our Fibre packages – the 4 Mbps Entry-level Uncapped package on Vuma – come with a free-to-use premium Fibre-enabled wireless router. Please note that if you cancel your Fibre service or fall into a suspended state (for longer than 30 days), Webafrica reserves the right to charge you the full retail price of the router or you may choose to return it to us.
Q. Am I guaranteed to get Fibre Internet?
We rely on our various suppliers to provide us with the areas that can get Fibre Internet. Once you have ordered Fibre on our website, one of our friendly fibre sales agents will be in contact to confirm you order.
Q. What do I need to get up and running?
Fibre must have been installed outside your boundary wall. Fibre then needs to run from your boundary wall to inside your home and be connected to a CPE (or similar) device. You also need a WAN-enabled wireless router – we provide one for free on selected packages. Contact us if you are unsure about any detail!
Upgrading, downgrading or cancelling?
We don't do contracts – that is how we roll! You may upgrade or downgrade at any time, but please note that this action may attract a small re-grade fee.
Q. Can I top up with more Gigs?
Absolutely. Upgrading to a bigger package will be more cost-effective if you are topping up every month. If you need additional data in a given month you can top up with 50 Gigs (at R150 once off) or 25 Gigs (at R100 once off) for the following providers – Vuma, Fibrehoods, Frogfoot and Octotel. If you ordered an OpenServe (Telkom) fibre product you can top up for R9/GB. Please note these top-up gigs will carry over to the next month until they are used up.
Want Us To Talk You Through It?
