Our Fixed LTE network coverage is expanding fast, and our infrastructure providers are constantly updating their maps. To find out if you’re covered simply enter your street address into the search bar below and we’ll check if you can get Fixed LTE. Alternatively, find your house on our LTE map and pin it to see what’s available.
Once you’ve found which LTE service is in your area, just choose the package that suits you best. To complete your order you will be required to RICA your Fixed LTE account, but don’t worry, we’ve made this process easy. Then all you need to do is pay the once off connection and delivery fee, and we’ll get you connected!
We aim to courier all LTE products within 5 business days of the successful order. Make sure you have your ID and proof of residence ready to present to the courier. They will check that these match the RICA documents you’ve given us. When it arrives, open the box, insert your SIM and turn on your premium LTE router!

South African RICA law dictates that we must make use of an external third party courier. While we try to team up with the fastest and most reliable resources, we are ultimately at their mercy for the delivery of your LTE SIM and router.
With Telkom LTE deliveries, you will be given a number to SMS if you need to make any changes to the delivery time or place.Most orders are delivered within 3-5 days of successfully placing your order.
LTE is capable of up to 50Mbps. If the network is congested, or you are located far from the tower, or if there is bad weather in your area, you may experience slower speeds.Our Cell C customers can expect an average download speed of between 4-50Mbps. Our Telkom customers can expect an average download speed of between 10-25 Mbps.
All of our data packages are month-to-month, so you need only give one calendar month’s notice should you wish to cancel.
If you do decide to cancel your LTE service or if your account falls into a suspended state for longer than 30 days, you will be billed for your router.
Alternatively, you may choose to return your router to us (at your own expense) and we will then credit this amount back to you. If you did not take one of our routers, and were thus given a credit on your account, then this amount will be clawed back upon cancellation.Please ensure that the LAN cable and anything else which came in the router box is returned or these items will be billed to your account.
A maximum of 3 per customer is allowed.
After rigorous testing we’ve seen speeds of up to 25Mbps depending on various factors (proximity to tower, where the router is placed in the home, interference from Mother Nature etc). In general our customers get around 20Mbps.
Going on holiday to Plett? Pack it up and take it with you. Fixed LTE works anywhere within the underlying infrastructure provider’s coverage area (remember our coverage maps expand weekly, so check back at any time to see if your next destination is covered).That said, our Fixed LTE is designed to be a fixed home-based product and it can take up to 24 hours to connect to the new tower if you do move it.
Yes, you need to provide Webafrica with an electronic copy of your ID and proof of address that is less than three months old. Once you have ordered, you will automatically be prompted by email to RICA, the documents can then be uploaded in our Customer Zone.
You will also be required to have a copy of your ID and proof of residence available when your SIM is delivered, and you (the account holder) must sign for it in person.The documents you present to the courier must match the documents you have provided electronically.
We don’t do long, drawn-out contracts. If for whatever reason you wish to cancel, all that is required is a calendar month’s notice.
Remember that your router is free-to-use, so if you cancel you will have to either buy it or send it back to us in its original condition.
On Telkom LTE: Your Top-Up Data will be used up after your monthly allocated data, on a first in, first out basis. Your Anytime Top-Up data is available for 61 days before it expires. Night Surfer Top-Up data does not roll over, and will expire within 30 days of purchase.
On the Telkom LTE packages, you are buying a bundled data package which consists of an “Anytime” monthly data allocation and a “Night Surfer” data allocation. For example:
If you have the 20GB+10GB package, you are in fact buying a (10GB Inclusive+10GB Bonus) package and a (5GB Inclusive+5GB Bonus) Night Surfer component.The “burndown” or data usage on these packages works as follows:

The ZTE MF253, the Huawei B525 and the Huawei B315 all support Fibre connections.
Yes, we pro-rata our Fixed LTE services. So, if you sign up halfway through the month you will pay half the monthly fee and receive half the data for the rest of the month.
Upgrades are free and are scheduled for the end of the month. You can top-up at any time while you wait for your upgrade.
Our Telkom LTE service does not currently support downgrades.
By logging into your Customer Zone, you can view your usage, upgrade or downgrade and purchase top-up data. We’ll send you a link to your Customer Zone as soon as you’ve ordered.
On our Telkom LTE packages your anytime top-up data expires 31 days from date of purchase.
On our Telkom packages: Unused anytime data will expire 61 days from allocation.Unused bonus data does not roll over.
3 to 5 business days after you have successfully RICA’d (Stock dependant).
The SIM will automatically activate within 24 hours after delivery, provided it is inserted into your router.If you fail to insert the SIM into the router and turn it on in the first 24 hours- it will not activate and your service will be cancelled.
All our LTE packages are month-to-month, so you only need to give one calendar month’s notice in order to cancel your data plan.
Our premium, wireless LTE routers are available to you for as long as you are with Webafrica and using the relevant service. If you cancel your service you will be billed for your router, or you may return it to us in its original condition, in its original packaging.
Please ensure that the LAN cable and anything else which came in the router box is returned or these items will be billed to your account.
If you did not take a router and you received a credit to your account (R250 or R500) instead, this amount will be clawed back if you choose to cancel your service within 12 months of activation.
Customers on previous Telkom Fixed LTE Uncapped Data packages receive uncapped data with the following Fair Usage Policy (FUP):
All P2P/NNTP will be reduced to 128Kbps during network peak times of 6pm to midnight and this traffic will be counted against the 150GB/50GB of data provided.
